About TrendForge
TrendForge (trendforgeapp.com) is a market-research and analytics tool that finds YouTube content-gap opportunities by cross-referencing Steam player metrics with video coverage. It surfaces titles that are rising fast on Steam while YouTube coverage is still thin — built for creators who would rather find an open lane than chase an already-crowded shelf.
What it is
Most trend tools answer "what's popular?" TrendForge answers a different question: where is the content gap? Every game on the daily ranking carries an Opportunity score (0–100) computed from three signals — Demand, Supply, and Timing — plus a Confidence read and per-channel Fit. The goal is a sortable, explainable shortlist of games worth covering this week, not a popularity chart.
Who it's for
Small and mid-size YouTube gaming creators especially. A topic that is realistic for a 100K-subscriber channel can be a dead end for a new one, so every card carries a Fit read scaled to your channel tier (50K+ → Under 1K). Larger creators use it the same way — to spot what is climbing before the niche crowds.
How it works
Scoring is a deterministic, fully explainable formula run once a day. Demand weights rate-of-change over raw size; Supply inverts YouTube shelf saturation and big-channel dominance; Timing reads current momentum with a launch-window bonus. An LLM is used only to turn the top-ranked score breakdowns into concrete title and angle ideas; it never touches the numbers.
Data sources & limits
Public signals only: Steam / SteamCharts (players, growth, discounts), the YouTube Data API (recent videos, creator supply), and Google Trends (momentum). Recomputed once a day. Scores are research support, not a guarantee of views or growth — validate the evidence before you record.
